PS/MS 161 Harlem Create After-School Program is the location of our longest running after school program. Serving the school community for more than 20 years, Harlem Create offers a robust schedule of activities that foster creativity and imagination in participants. Students participated in STEM/STEAM and Literacy project-based programming, community service/service-learning activities that created a sense of belonging and connectivity to the community in which they reside, while our nutrition and parent involvement initiatives supported healthier families.

This school year our students learned how to build volcanos, crocheted, drew dragons, worked with the Horticultural Society and learned the importance of worms in the soil in a garden, as well as about the germination of seeds.
